WeightCareMatch (“we,” “us”) operates an independent quiz that helps visitors compare telehealth weight-loss programs. This policy explains what information our website collects, how we use it, and — because our quiz asks about height, weight, insurance, and other personal topics — what we deliberately do not collect. Your quiz answers never leave your browser
The quiz (your goal, height and weight, insurance situation, state, and any age-gate answer) runs entirely as client-side logic in your browser. We do not transmit, log, or store these answers on any server, and we do not send them to our analytics provider. Refreshing or closing the page clears them — nothing is saved to your device (no cookies, no local storage) and nothing is saved by us.
Analytics we collect
We use PostHog, a product-analytics service, to understand how the site is used. We configure it narrowly: autocapture and session recording are both off, so PostHog only receives the specific events listed below — never your quiz answers, BMI, insurance status, state, or email address.
- Standard page views.
- Quiz started — that the quiz began, tied to the on-page placement, not to you personally.
- Quiz step completed — which step number was completed and how long it took. We do not record which step it was or what you answered.
- Quiz completed — that you reached a results screen, and how long the quiz took.
- Age-gate exit — that a visitor left through the under-18 exit screen. No other detail is recorded.
- Program link clicks — recorded when you click through to a matched program, including which program, its position on the page, and standard marketing parameters (such as UTM tags, ad click IDs, referring page, and device type) so we can measure which traffic sources work. This event does not include your quiz answers.
PostHog may assign your browser an anonymous identifier to distinguish one visitor’s events from another’s. This identifier is not linked to your name, email, or quiz answers.
Optional email
After you see your results, you can optionally give us your email address to receive your comparison and occasional price updates. This is never required to see your results. If you submit an email address, we store only the email address, the date, and the version of the consent notice you were shown — we do not attach your quiz answers to it, and it is never used to identify your health information. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send, or by contacting us at the address below; we will stop sending you email and mark your record unsubscribed.
Program links and affiliate relationships
When you click a “Check availability” or “Learn more” link on a results screen, we redirect you to the matched program’s own website. We do not transmit your quiz answers to that program as part of this redirect. Once you’re on their site, their own privacy policy applies to anything you tell them there. Children’s privacy
WeightCareMatch is intended for adults 18 and older; see our Terms of Use. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
